Our churches are south of the River Tees in North East England, an area once known for heavy industry and petrochemical plants. Surrounded by beautiful countryside and coast, a community spanning inner city to idyllic rural villages, with a population drawn from Asylum seekers to Artisans, Students to Surgeons and Mechanics to Millionaires. Pray for the Darlington District, for the Synod meetings and for the vast range of mission and service across this wide area. Pray for Rev Richard Andrew, Chair of the Darlington District.
We pray today for our Circuit as we begin a new Methodist year, that God will inspire us through the Holy Spirit to serve him in all we do together and as individuals. Pray too for the Preachers' meeting tomorrow. Pray for Rev Sue Greenwood and Nunthorpe
We pray today for all who are returning to school, both students and teachers, and Governors. May we think about our influence as churches on the education in our local schools. Pray for Rev Christopher Wood-Archer and Normanby.

We think today of the celebration of Harvest happening in our churches over the coming weeks that it may be a real celebration of God's good gifts and a practical concern for all those who need extra help. Pray for Rev Len Karn and Eston Grange
We pray for all who are ill at this time in body, mind or spirit, for those who care for them and worry about them. Pray for Rev Sarah Ramsden and her ministry at the Hospice. Pray for Stainton.
We pray today for our Circuit Songs of Praise taking place this evening. May it be a time of celebration and fellowship. Pray for all who make music in our churches week by week. Pray for The Avenue Community Project.
We pray for the Circuit Leadership Team and also those involved in the Invitation Committee that they may govern our people with care. Pray for Elaine at the Circuit Office.
We pray for the many missions of our local churches and we think of the work developing and continuing at Linthorpe Road. Pray for the Linthorpe Road congregation and for the staff working there.
We pray for all who work with children and young people in our Circuit we think also of the mission to the University and for those involved in developing that mission. Pray for Trinity and the Family Friendly Centre.
We pray today for all who have nowhere to live on a permanent basis, who depend on the hospitality of others or who sleep rough. Pray for all who are deemed as outcasts by Society. Pray for Alisa Adamson and all involved with MAP. Pray for Marton
On this Remembrance Sunday we pray for those who are still involved in conflicts around the world. We remember those who have given their lives for us in so many wars, and we pray for those who still bear the scars mentally and physically. Bless all those services of Remembrance that all of us may work for and pray for Peace.
We pray today for all who are involved in caring for the elderly, for those who are no longer able to get to church or to weekly activities, for those who are lonely. Be with all who visit them and also the Methodist Live at Home Scheme. Pray for Rev Laurence Law and the Chinese church
