Our thoughts turn to Advent and we pray for ourselves as we enter this special time of our Church year. Pray for Rev Richard Andrew our new Chair of District and for the Darlington District
On this first Sunday in Advent we pray for guidance as we try to understand the importance of this season and it’s implication for our faith. Pray for the Preachers’ meeting this week. Pray for Rev Sue Greenwood and Nunthorpe.
A mother was preparing pancakes when her sons began to argue over who would get the first pancake. An opportunity for a moral lesson... She said: ‘If Jesus were sitting here, He would say, “Let my brother have the first pancake, I can wait.”’
Kevin turned to his younger brother and said,
‘Ryan, you be Jesus!’
Pray for those who are on the Circuit Leadership Team, bless and guide them in their deliberations. Pray for Rev Len Karn and Normanby.
Pray for all Christians as we celebrate in special services, in carol singing and in the joyful events in our own homes. Let us remember we welcome again the Son of God into our lives and our world. Pray for Marton.
On this last Sunday of 2018, we look back and look forward. We see in our lives God’s presence, even when we have not been aware he was with us, we pray for all we hope for in 2019. Pray for Eston Grange.
On this Epiphany Sunday we pray we may learn more about Jesus as he reveals himself to us. Pray today for Rev Charity Hamilton as she is welcomed to our Circuit, we rejoice that she is finally able to begin her ministry. We look forward to sharing our Christian journey with her.
